i am currently in a really bad situation and i could just cry,
was off work may- septemeber last year due to a problem with my back . in the end had to leave my job because of it .
Started looking for work in october when i felt better and after lots of rejections got offered and took an agency job working in a call centre problem is due to the contant sitting down and bending to type into computer i have had a relapse and am in quite a bit of pain.
been off work since jan 2nd and due to agency dont get ssp
so have applied for incapacity benefit still awaiting a response been about three weeks now .
I have applied for some non call centre rolls as it has been suggested that i find alternative work due to this kind of roll not helping my back but because i have been off sick for so long no one will employ me ..
anyone got any adcice

Chase up your claim! Having been in a similar situation since June last year I have found if you just wait to hear about your claim 6-8 weeks will pass with nothing happening. Call and ask what is happening and if that doesn't work write to them. If that doesn't speed things up, write again and copy in your MP! But I found after sending the first letter I got a call with a decision.been off work since jan 2nd and due to agency dont get ssp.

Try contacting Disability Employment Adviser at your local JobCentre Plus, they give really good advice, have access to the info you need at their fingertips and should be able to help you decide on a job that won't aggrevate your condition. There are also schemes out there to help you find suitable work which DEA's have the details of!I have applied for some non call centre rolls as it has been suggested that i find alternative work due to this kind of roll not helping my back but because i have been off sick for so long no one will employ me.
I totally sympathise and know what you are going through but stick with it, once you start getting some help from the right places I'm sure everything will start taking a turn for the better. Keep smiling no matter how hard... it'll make people wonder what you have been up to

Bending to type??
Think all you need is a better chair!
Sorry, I don't mean to sound nasty - did you speak to anyone about a different type of chair - occupational health or something - I have one of those ones you kneel on which is much better for your back - this link below shows the sort of thing i mean:
