It was such a good feeling to see

£172 appear in our bank account from paypal. It was gained by selling totally non used & non wanted possessions in the house. It is now going to be transferred to take another nibble of the 19% MBNA Crap Card. :D I have plenty more sales in the pipeline.
TBH I was getting a bit down again today and I needed this incentive to know I can do it and not despair. Thanks to all those who have been so supportive and frankly calmed my shredded nerves. It's still daunting but it is possible.

LOL it is!!!!! Funny enough our eldest boy at uni who has seriously contributed to our financial peril left box loads of stuff he told me to get rid of.....things like old console things and warhammer stuff.......I've yet to get it listed (can't actually figure out what some of it is) but I can see it seems to do well. I still can't sleep so instead I lie there thinking about what I can sell. It's brilliant.Oh thinks I'm just clearing clutter (trying to slash debt big time before he realises).

On the other hand I don't want as much. I have gone in and out of shops (mystery shopping) without buying anything extra, it really is a different way of thinking. We are eating the food already in the cupboards so thats cheaper too.

What gets me is the birthdays, I come from a BIG extended family and birthdays are a serious business, This week I have had 5!!!:mad:One got a recycled Christmas present;), two is getting something using a credit note from something that didn't work at Christmas;), three is getting a gift voucher (also from Christmas);), four is getting a mystery shop gift ;)and five is going to cost me something (my sis who is terrific)! Not bad though, just one to get from all that!

Wow, that's great-sounds like you have made an excellent MSE start to the year! Big families are tough with birthdays-a friend of mine gets hers in the sale at Boots each year, and usually manages to get amazing deals (eg. everything half price, on three for two...and then she buys it all with points!) so bear those in mind, and keep selling all that rubbish!
  • Well done facingthefuture. Keep up the good work.

Well done, its a good feeling when you can pay a bit off the debts and you have motivated me to have a clearout aswell.I had a payment from quidco yesterday (£254.00)and I won £160.00 on gala bingo last weekend,as soon as it went in the bank I paid off our Tesco credit card, and it feels great to have a 0 balance on another card.Keep up the good work.:A
