I'm no good at SOAs but lots will be. I am on a CCCS DMP and all 7 creditors have frozen interest. M&S did it straight away, GE passe to a DCA fairly quickly after a few not very nice calls. lloyds have been b*ggers but ok now. I think it's just a matter of time with some of them, they go through the phone calls, letters, threats before they agree to stop interest. I would recommend CCCS as creditors seem to listen to them. I am a year on and was expecting the phone calls to start up again after six months but all i had was one letter asking me to call BSO, I didnt and nothing has happened. Good luck with it all.0

Hi Timetobe free,
Is there anyway you could look at increasing your income? PT Job? OT? Quidco? Lodger? Even just upping your income to £300 this would knock about 6 years of the term based on interest and charges been stopped! So the more you can put towards the quicker you will get your debts paid.I am a Debt Counsellor that works for the CCCS and have specific permission from Martin, to post on these boards to try and help those in debt. Read more information on the CCCS and what it does in the Debt Problems: What to do and where to get help article.
CCCS is a registered charity, and there is no charge whatsoever for any of the services we provide to our clients. We take great pride in offering first class help and advice, but we only offer this where we have been able to fully explore and understand your circumstances with you. We want to help you understand these choices and their possible implications but not make them for you.
