A CCJ is always owed until it is paid in full. It will never become statue barred.
  • It's a tricky one, if the original judgment was correctly applied, quite rightly it is always enforceable, however it could be set aside if it was applied in your abscence where you can show you had no option to defend the claim in the first place. However this requires strategy and would depend on the circumstances. For instance if the creditor had been told you had gone away or had moved and you can prove it, then the judgment should never have taken place. Why didn't you know about it? How did you find out?

i just had a letter from dm ltd to pay a loan from 7 years ago so i sent the statre barred letter and not had any thing since but the fact i moved 7 years ago and never had any letters until 2 weeks ago i applied for a bank account online and then 2 days later had the letter
so i aske could i then get one saying a ccj was put in place which i would have not had , and would it hold up ? but i think they was just tring it on to get me to pay !

    I'm a bit confused.

Why don't you get a credit check done and see if you have a ccj against you.
