Ok i'm just going to have a moan, i activated my BT line and got into a twelve month contract apparently ( i always thought BT had to provide a line without contract) and then realised 3 weeks into the contract that i was tied into a deal with Sky so swapped to Sky.
Now when i phoned up to cancel i wasn't told about any cancellation fees that would be added to my account.
Then 5 weeks later i phoned up as they had originally taken a deposit and i was expecting some of this to come back to me and when i spoke to one of their customer service representatives they assured me that i would have £30ish put back onto my card.
So when i opened up a letter imagine my surprise that there is 2 cancellation charges which amount to just under £240!!! and now i owe BT £210 quid after that £30 is taken of.
This to me is downright bloody robbery, it was an honest mistake which is biting me on the !!!!, i phoned them up and asked them to explain how they came to the figures which they may as well ahve just made up for all i know, the lady on the other side didn't explain so now i have asked for a copy of my signed credit agreement, i think i sent this back but hopefully Royal mail will lose it for me!!!
To top it of on there bills now they are boasting about their recent reward for being a great company...yeah a great company that rips u of and takes 20 minutes to answer the phone!!
This just means that my debt repayments are stuffed for another month or so because of BT
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

Alas, if you ever move - you will have to use them again.
BT are crap, crapper than crap. They're in the same sort of league/cesspool as npower..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I agree - someone knocked over the telephone pole outside our house - when BT replaced it because we had cable "there isn't any point replacing it" the line that was there previously also ripped out the boards on the side of our house which "wasn't BT's problem" so getting so fed up with Virgin media's just as bad service I rang up to ask about switching - certainly they said and it will cost you £130 to have the line put back in!0

See if you can find out who the insurers of the car were. BT may have claimed for replacing your line without having done it."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

When AOL were doing one of there upgrades at the telephone exchange last year it wiped out my phone line for 4/5 days. Internet was fine though.
After loads of calls to both BT and AOL, who kept passing the buck, it was finally determined that the fault was at the telephone exchange caused by this upgrade.
Not only did I spend a fortune on phone calls and lose work through lack of landline. BT then had the bloody cheek to try and charge me £116 for repairing the fault. Needless to say they didn't get the money but if I could have got hold of the patronising person that called me to say that 'on this occassion BT will waive the charge'. How nice of them to waive a charge that I shouldn't have been charged for in the first place.0 -
bump because i am still bloody annoyed!SShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh0
