    lol yep, ive only been doing mine since the 1st of January but its a really a good way to see what goes where, lots of things cant be helped but at least you can be clearer on what goes where.......like my £5 spend today in the chemist as my son has a terrible cold and I really didnt have anything to give him......cant be helped but at least i can see at the end of the month where my money goes. Good luck

    I had a look at https://www.spendingdiary.com today (after someone else on here mentioned it) and it seems like quite a useful tool because you have to put everything in a category. I too tend to put everything miscellaneous under 'food' - when actually quite a lot of it is actually cleaning stuff, postage, sellotape and headache pills etc! Whichever way you do it - good luck!
