Got myself out of mobile phone contract

After disasterous service, I managed to complain enough that the network have arranged to take return of the phone and cancel the contract - it means i'm still on monthly but it's not going to bind me. My last bill was obscene due to my boss making me use it for work use - when on call this can mean using well above my minutes and I can't reclaim it - told him I can no longer do this. Also got a credit for £45 onto my bill.

Which has pleased me!

  • nice boss! he should get you a work phone!! put your foot down, i get an allowance for any calls i make from my personal mobile that are work related (dont know if your company offers this kind of thing but its worth looking into as its saved me a packet as not always in the office!)

What network were you on if you dont mind me asking? :)

Hi - glad you got it sorted!

Your boss should either provide you with a work phone, or let you claim back the cost of calls, surely?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
  • he's a bit annoying in that sense and I fee slightly to blame as said didn't mind at first as only one or two calls and had 500 mins per month!! But it's gotten really busy now and told him I can't afford it, but he enjoys using the works mobile as personal as saves him money and seems to think if he gets a prepay and puts tenner on a month it'll be ok - not sure he's in same reality as rest of us!
