When do my mortgage payments start?

I am close to closing a deal on a house, should be looking to completion around mid aug to early sept.
My mortgage payments come out on the first of the month, if i move mid month do i get 2 weeks free? or do I pay part month?

does depend on which lender you are with - most common is that if you move mid Aug, your payment on 1st Sept ( you have been told/ selected 1st of minth) will be for 6 weeks- they usually send you a letter - but suggest you call them to confirmAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

yeah i will contact them when dates are confirmed, its just that I rent at the moment, so will likely be paying rent & Mortgage for a copule of weeks if not a month!!!
