You can always tell them - and then get a copy from the revenue, your employer might be able to generate another copy for you as well

    Hi Sexy_fufu!

I had the same problem last year when my P60 was incorrect because I had lost my P45 before I started my new employment. Since I needed it to claim back tax I rang the inland revenue and was told that the employer can issue a "Statement of Earnings" certificate which shows your earnings for that employer for the same period as the P60.A P60 can only be issued once.

    Good luck

Hiya - they will more than likely accept your last March payslip if you have that, as that will show your year to date earnings for the previous year, which is all they are wanting to check on your P60 anyway. :)

In fact, unlike a P45, a P60 can be given to you a second time. It needs to be marked as a "duplicate" but it is definitely allowed.

Things changed (in 2003 I think) and you can check what I say under Lost P60 on this page - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/Taxes/WorkingAndPayingTax/DG_10013512

No .... the employer can issue a duplicate (and it has to be marked as such). It's nothing (earlier post) to do with HMRC

As somebody who deals with payroll, we may not love you creating more work for us and asking for duplicate payslips and P60 (what's wrong with filing you own copies?!!!), but it can definitely be done. Just ask with a big smile and we may forgive you!

    Good luck.
  • Cant they request an employment reference? Most lenders will accept this. Are they looking to confirm bonus or commission or is to confirm your employed?
