  • Finally received my first Matterbox, having signed up years ago.

Very disappointed - a Cadbury's box with no chocolate?!

I've received my first Matterbox - the Eggathon game. My son goes away with his dad next week and is taking it with him - he's delighted, especially as I let him open the box.
  • Was disappointed there was no chocolate but I'll live. My three year old adores the game to the point it's been out everyday :rotfl:

Why is this thread called BIG BOX? All I got was a very small box with a game from cadbury that went straight into my bin.

Mine are in the charity bag. Maybe they will get used there. Don't know what the big fuss is about? The current cadbury choccy bars even have spots or stripes on. Why??

because the thread is old, and the very first box (that hardly anyone got) apparently had much better items in it than the rest. Might be time the title got changed to something like 'promo items from Matterbox'?

I got the game as well but it wasn't from Matterbox, I got the original Cadburys box with the two games and chocolate and some time later I received an email from Cadburys asking me to vote for which of the two games I preferred (I think voting was via Facebook), the people who voted for the winning game then got sent a proper version of it instead of the plain white and purple rough version that came in the orginal Matterbox. As I voted for Eggathon then I got one. Maybe Cadburys/Matterbox also decided to send one to all those who missed out on the first Cadburys box?

I too fail to see why people are complaining so much about a freebie, it cost you nothing and if you don't want it then give it to someone else or bin it! You have to remember that tens of thousands of people are signed up to Matterbox and they only have so many to give away, so far my husband got the first Matterbox that was aimed at men and I got the Cadburys box (he didn't), its partly if you fit into their target market for that box and partly potluck.
    2020 Wins:
  • I have just signed up for Matterbox, cant wait to get my first box.
  • No, I don't. Only the ones when the director emails me to apologise for promising me a box on the previous run that never arrived and to ensure that I will definately recieve one for this run. Which I didn't.

It would have been nice should the freebies have been delivered - though as they wern't I guess I missed out.

Do you email every freebie that you apply for 5 times?

Some freebies arrive and some dont, its just a case of applying for what takes your fancy and then having a nice surprise when the postie brings you presents.
