Iv just received an email confirming my boxThats not very fair I confirmed my details pretty much as soon as he asked and I havent recieved this email.... booo hiss.
A lot of emails can take a while to send. I'm pretty sure the MSE weekly emails takes about 15 hours to send to everyone.Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

I didnt imagine they'd be sending each email individually, I figured they'd do the standard thing and make a list and email the same email to the entire list at the same time, guess they're doing it the hard way rather than bulk emailing it to the people who were getting one.
No- you can't email this way- systems immediatly see it as spam mail and nothing gets through. You have to send emails bulkwise through to small groups each at a time. (I used to work in this area and it was a constant problem, we'd have several computers with different email accounts sending out several batches of emails at a time, it would often take an entire day to go through the whole list and that was just a small charity friends list!)0 -

I registered after reading about it on here recently and now have an email too. Very excited :j. Can anyone who has received boxes before say what sort of things they received; is it usually about one or two items?0

Allytoe - I think it's unlikely that describing the previous box to you (I think there has only been one previously) will help you anticipate the next one with any degree of accuracy. The concept of the Matterbox is that they will be very different each time and so until someone reveals the contents it is a totally unknown.
I also think that everyone should just take a moment to remember that this is a freebie and that no one is entitled to be given or receive one of these - you've not paid anything or entered into a contract, but good luck and if you do get one well done!0
