MBNA - complete nightmare, one to avoid at all costs!
Barclaycard - pretty good initially - now a year later have started putting a £12 late fee and interest back on, have said they would be more likley to accept the payments if we went through a Debt Management Co - still arguing the toss after we said ok fine we were advised to go bankrupt by the dmc - so now waiting for them to sell the debt on
Have to say the rest have been pretty good - all of them were a nightmare to begin with except M&S and Tesco who instantly stopped charges, interest and accepted reduced payments0 -
No. 1 Has to be Natwest for issuing a CCJ after they had already accepted payments.
2. Halifax for continuing to add interest
3. Sainsburys as above!!!!
All the rest have been ok.Debt at Sept 2006 £63,500:eek:
Debt at Sept 2012 £24,400
DFD Dec 2012! (if PPI claims come in) !!

Hi there, my three worst creditors are:
Index Catalogue for continuing to add interest for 2 years (when all my other creditors froze the interest)
Cabot Financial - who will ring you morning, noon and night and then attempt to act as an employment agency trying to find you a job!!
Abbey National (and their hit mob) when discussing my SOA said we were spending too much on food, nappies and loo rolls (don't ask!!) Current Debts
2002 [strike]£21,000[/strike]- 2008 £8,500
Will be Debt Free in 2012 or before if possible :j0 -
My worst creditors, in no particular order were:
HMRC - Simply would not listen, or offer any help.
HSBC - Pulled the plug immediately when I asked them for help, in spite of 25 years of 'trouble-free' Banking with them - both business and personal.
MBNA - Simply for their persistent harassment and complete lack of respect for the Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidelines.
BARCLAYCARD - for passing 'debt' straight to MERCERS - then increasing my 'credit limit'
BLACK HORSE - just a totally unprofessional bunch of uncaring vultures.
Should I continue?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Oh boy would i love to meet them on a dark night !!!!0 -
GE Money, when I first got into debt with them I had a letter every week threatening me with court & bailiffs, plus at least 1 phone call a month demanding full payment.
Littlewoods, even though we've cleared the debt with them they're still hassling us to give them more money by sending unwanted catalogues.
Abbey were ok with us, didn't hassle us much & just accepted the payment plan, phoned us every 6 months to check everything was still going according to plan, haven't heard from them since we cleared the debt.Winnings
