reheating rissoto?

Hi, is it safe to reheat mushroom rissoto? made it last night and i still have some sat in multi cooker with lid on.
Was gonna have the rest for tea later..would you risk it?

  • Personally no. If you had cooled it down straight away and left it in the fridge overnight then yes. But the risk from reheating rice comes from it not being cooled properly rather than how you reheat it.

    I'd bin it I'm afraid.

    I'd eat it too (and have done in the past with no ill effects), but I probably wouldn't give it to anyone else just in case :p

    Nooo!! don't chance it - I'm with Gingham. Someone once told me that when you have a 'dodgy curry' it's usually the rice not the curry itself that makes you sick because it hasn't been dealt with properly!!

  • I would eat it personally cos our kitchen is pretty cold and nothing sits around tepid in it for long unless the oven is on - it may as well be in the fridge :) But if my kitchen was warm or if it was summertime I wouldn't risk it.

    Then again risotto doesn't really last to a second day if I'm around - I love it cold from the fridge :)

    I had a look and it and it had congealed, so def put me off anyway :D
