Turning something yucky into something nice...

I've got a whole pack of tesco value scones sitting in my freezer, which to be honest are pretty yuck, rather than chucking them, could I crumble them up and make them into something else that tastes a little nicer? I know that they're not expensive, but I hate to waste food!
Any suggestions please? Has anyone else successfully 'remodeled' something?

.... or the bottom of a trifle - I always find trifles a bit of a faff actually but each to their ownI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

I wouldn't put them in a trifle as they would be quite heavy.
How about splitting them, toasting them and putting on something like:
strawberries and cream or Banana and honey, hot cherry pie filling and custard or cream, caramelised apples with cream, caramelised pears and then toast some thinly sliced stilton on top.
If they are slightly airy maybe slice them and dip in egg to make sweet french toast."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0
