Amazon multi-region Starlogic DVD player £19.95 delivered [CLOSED]

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002LHXBG/qid=1121222533/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/026-4316209-8313221

We had a similar Amazon product as a thread before, then it was discontinued. Not sure if this is the same product, but it's available second-hand for as little as £13.49, and new for £19.95 including delivery!

I know which option I'd choose

whats the model number on the player???

i think it is the same one, i bought one a couple of months back. No complaints really, especially as it is a budget model. a few niggles...

-very tempramental... often takes a few attempts to load a DVD
-does not come with a SCART lead but a 3-way phono lead which not all TVs will take without an adapter (will only cost a few quid but worth considering as an extra cost)
-door comes unattatched (at least it did on mine and a friends) and is a complete **** to get back on.

Apart from those minor points i do recommend the player, especially at the price

I would just buy it brand new as you can send it back if any problems ( and they are a good bargain but seem to be a bit tempermental ). I ordered one from Amazon and the door was broke on it so sent it back and recieved a new one ASAP took about two weeks to get a refund for my postage but still was a good service - plus I have the guarantee. The replacement works fine.
  • Hi,

I bought the Amazon offer Sarlogic dvd player with 5:1 surround sound for £50.

It was completely rubbish, especially when compared to our non ss Toshiba.
Picture quality was poor, very grainy, build was very cheap and nasty, even had sharp bits of metal sticking out which would draw blood....
Surround sound was ok, a bit fiddly to set up though.

I sent it back, received a refund, eventually, but never received a refund on m'postage. Sent numerous e-mails to Amazon, to no avail.

    DON'T BUY STARLOGIC DVD PLAYER.
Spend a few more pounds and get a better model.
