I reckon the warehouse guys just package and post the orders as they come in. Perhaps they dont see the price, just the confirmed, paid up order.

When the Office staff noticed (probably due the the number of them being ordered) they halted the orders. Perhaps some had already gone out.

The trend seems to be the ones who ordered on next day 24hr super delivery got in, whilst those on free or standard delivery dipped out.

very true ! i have quoted this on more than one occasion and on the other site.
this is a real good tip , if you see an item that looks a misprice on amazon , choose the fastest delivery option - usally next day . as you can bet your bottom dollar that bargain will soon be floating around on all forums and loads of bargain hunters wil be ordering but on the super saver option as they are trying to get it even cheaper without paying post cost.
by this time amazon have been alerted and pull it , only for a few lucky ones get the bargain
it has worked for me on 3 or4 occasions.
