I filled in online debt remedy thingie for cccs. My option was bankcruptcy. I phoned helpline and spoke to a lovely lady, told her my concerns about online bingo playing and having a bro. She said it was discretionary on the part of the O/R and that if one was applied it would be anywhere from an extra couple of months to five years. She said it would be given not as a punishment but as a help for me not to go down same road again. She said it would stand me in good stead that i now have changed to a basic bank account with no o/d facility as it would seem to o/r that i was attempting to deal with my issues. I don't know how much i have spent on bingo in the past as i have had a lot of wins along with the deposits and it has helped my make payments. I haven't been playing since november and have daily battles with myself not to go near them
Reading this back to myself it sounds like i have a gambling probems :eek:
I don't think i had, just too much time alone and too easy to do. You guys have helped immensely as i have been on here and reading your posts and it gave me a kick in the behind. So i am mostly on here during my alone time and gaining a little perspective
Sorry for whittering on but had to get it out of my head and bore you lot with it.
Now gotta decide whether to go b/c route or wait and see what the near future hold with dcas/ hospital etc. Can't see any changes for the better tho.
Any thoughts??

Just a quick well done. I myself started playing those bingo sites when I was unemployed - like you say, more out of boredom than anything else. I only lost £20 over the space of a couple of weeks, but its an easy trap to fall into. Well done on moving on...

I agree, it wasnt bingo with me but as Neko says, so easy to fall into when you have a lto of time alone and are bored or worried

Well done WAP. I know it is so hard to take those first babysteps but you have and that has taken great courage.

You are not whittering, we are here to listen and support where we can and if you need to talk about anything then just type away, a problem shared and all that.

If the CCCS have advised you go BR then it's a safe bet that you should.
