Court Summons / CCJ

Because I did not pay my council tax on the 1st of every month - I was paying every two/three months - always paying whatever balance was due.
Because I missed three, 1st of the month payments (from Apr 2007 - Aug 2007), the council issued a court summons with a date and time for the amount due.
On receipt of this summons, I did pay off the whole outstanding balance until the following March (2008) and was told to forget about the future court date by the council.
This may be a stupid question, but does this now mean I have a CCJ against my name?
I have since learned my lesson and set up Direct Debit for 2008-9, but just a bit worried about my credit rating now

council tax arrears are dealt with in the majestrate's court and not the count courts so you wouldn't get a CCJ in any case.
best to check your credit records but its fairly unlikely that any adverse info will be on there.0 -
If the case had gone ahead you would have been issued with a liability order from the magistrates court ordering you to pay the outstanding balance - as you had paid off the rest of your C-Tax - the case woul dhave been dropped.
Even if you had been given a liabilty order - it does not go on your credit file.I am a debt counsellor working in the voluntary sector - we don't charge our clients for the work we do!0 -
no this will not affect your credit rating. as others have said this is a matter dealt with in the magistrates court not the county court.
