Hi,
When I was in Prague I had the best beer (Budweiser Budvar) - nothing to do with the American beer - and I'm hoping I could buy it somewhere in N.I.
I've tried my local Tesco with no joy there....anyone spotted it or got any suggestions....
Cheers,
wirm

Wineflair, Beverley shops, Newtownabbey do this beer for £1.49 for 500 ml. Far superior to the American stuff, which tastes like soap. The americans now either own or part-own this company following years of legal wrangles. They were only allowed to buy it on condition that the traditional recipie and production methods were preserved.0

Sorry wirm but that is foul stuff (too yeasty), I prefer the American variety (but then I am not really a drinker). A friend of mine used to drink a lot of it and he simply got it in his local off licence - not supermarket - you can definitely get it. There is a place behind the City Hall in Belfast (a restaurant called Desmonds (or something beginning with 'D')) that definitely sells it - because they kept giving it to me instead of the American variety.wirm wrote:When I was in Prague I had the best beer (Budweiser Budvar) - nothing to do with the American beer - and I'm hoping I could buy it somewhere in N.I.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Budvar is on offer at Makro in Dunmurry from Wednesday next week - £14.99 + vat for 24 bottles. As far as I know the off-licence at Makro is open to the public.0
