oh hun, sending hugs to you
i'm sorry that i cant offer more practical advise but wanted to answer so you know that someone has read this for you. there will be more people along shortly who will be able to offer more help than i can, you have definitely come to the right place. in the meantime go and get yourself a coffee/glass of wine until somebody else comes alongThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

Hi Kerry
What a difficult situation you are in, fingers crossed for you.
Have you spoken to any of your creditors yet?? If you explain the situation you might be able to get some sort of breathing space while you work out what you need to do. Are all of the debts in your name (except mortgage which is in both)
I think you should arrange to speak to one of the debt counselling charities (I will post the links in a sec) as soon as you can, they will be able to give you advice and support and may be able to liaise with your creditors on your behalf.
Please do keep posting on here too, you will get so much support and advice which can help you to get through this.

O.K How long has he been gone? Are we talking hours/days or longer? If you are concerned for his welfare I would contact the police and report him missing and try national missing persons.
Can you take a break on the mortgage for a few months? to allow you to pay the other bills and assess the situation with regards to your husband?
It really does depend on whether you think you will received any help from your husband or not on what the best course of action is.
You have a couple of options here:
a) pay mortgage and contact debt charity for help with the other debts.
b) take payment holiday from mortgage for a few months to see what happens with regards to husband
c) pay mortgage and try and earn extra with second job/doing internet surveys/clicks etc.
Whichever option you choose it's worth getting advice from a free debt charity.

I agree with poorandindenial, Kerry you ned to get in contact one of the debt charities asap. You need some help in this situation and the free debt charites will help in any way they can. If that be phoning creditors/help writing letters they will be able to help. I hope your husband returns safe and well soon ~ take care.0

Gather together as much info as you can about your debts, and other expenses - all the things you are now expected to cover, now your OH is not about.
Then tomorrow give one of the debt charities a call, armed with your info, and they will be able to give you lots of help.
In the meantime, be aware that you are making positive steps towards getting this sorted. There is a limit to what you can do overnight, but you must look after yourself. Having an OH suffering from depression is one thing, having to deal with that whilst suffering yourself from depression is something else, so take good care, try not to worry (yes I know it is easier said than done) and be proud of having taken this first step.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
