what can I do for a job

I have been in UK since 2005.I was looking after my daughter these time.Now she started her schooling and I have lots of spare time.I started for applying part time jobs.But to my badluck I am not getting any interview calls since I dont have any reference or previous experience in UK.Can anyone have any suggetions regarding how to get into the system?
