I wanna play Manhunt 2 on my Wii?!

Hello! After being bought a Wii for Christmas, with the purpose of playing Manhunt 2 on it O'm disgusted to find the Uk release date has been changed yet again. :mad: :mad: I had intended to Purchase the game as a joint Valentine's gift but think we'll be lucky if the game is released for Valentine's 09!! Does anyone know if the US game is compatible for the UK WII , or, are there any ways to convert, or make US games playable on our Wii. Thank you all. PS, I'm not a crazed lunatic:eek: , just a fan of thrillergore games!!:p Thankyou:beer:

No wii games are region coded.

Im not sure if the unmentionable devices break region codeing on the wii.

Does that mean that all games, whether US or UK should work on my Wii bought here?

No, he meant that wii games bought from USA or Japan wont work on your wii. To play on a UK wii the games have to be the pal versions, these versions are for the european market. So games bought in France or Germany for example will work. I heard they had banned the game, I don't know whether this is just in the UK so you might be lucky trying european sites.
You might want to try Australia, their dvds are the same region as ours, so you could check to see whether this is the case with pal games.
You can get region free games for the ds and xbox 360, but so far I have seen nowhere that does it for wii games, I hope this helps.

Thankyou very much Melissa, that is exactly what I needed to know. Hopefully its released elsewhere in Europe, or Australia, its the reason I wanted my Wii. Thankyou.;)

No problem, glad to have helped!! Check first that the Australian games are pal just to be safe!!! I can't remember where I heard that it was going to be banned in the UK, so I might be wrong.

No, I was right - I'm not going mad, I had a bit of a google - they are fighting through the courts at the minute to ban it. It was released in USA last October. I had a quick look on ebay but no one is selling the pal version, only the USA one. Good luck!!!!!
