Why do you think theft is the same as stoozing?

Hi Charley, even though I (and many others no doubt) can see why you're just a tiny bit tempted to earn a little, if you want to sleep peacefully at night and NOT always be fearing the next mail that comes, I honestly believe the right thing to do is to get it back to them as soon as possible.

Personally I would phone them, and tell them if they want it back you want an administration charge of £20, this will cost them less than getting it cancelled, so they might go for it.

How about trying this way round it.

I think you have made up your mind to cash it and sit on it, why are you even asking for advice?

Also someone out there could be suffering and waiting for this money. On the other hand, what if you were waiting on this money but got a call from the ins co saying that your cheque was sent to someone in error, they cashed it so you have got to wait for the money to be reclaimed.

You might see it as earning a few quid but someone could be waiting on this money.....are you really that hard up?
