3 for 2 offer + Bargain Price - Log Roll For Garden Borders

Just popped into Argos and found that item 721/8235 2 pack of log roll (for garden borders) has been reduced in price to £4.99 but also this is in an offer of 3 for 2. This is the lowest price i have seen for this type of product anywhere. I also noticed that on the internet site there is an error so if you order upwards of 4 then the price appears to be incorrect in fact if you order 10 it only shows £12.98.

Just reserved 9 lots 9x2x1.8mts = 32.4mts for a grand total of £8.94

or £0.49 per roll

or £0.28 per metre.

Just the fun in picking them up now.

For what I can see, any multiple of three seems to completely the wrong price!

Just a word to the wise.

I ordered 6 to be picked up at the store, cost £5.96

My wife went to collect and (no) surprise was told they would be £21.00.

She did not push it, no time, but I think you may have problems collecting them at the 'bargain' price.

I've had this problem before with other mispriced Argos stuff on the'net.

Best to order for home delivery (yes I Know it's £5.00) to get the bargain.

If you buy 3 through quick pay they reduce to £0.00! The only catch is that you need to buy something else or it won't give you the receipts. I did it today, although they noticed the price at collection and so they had to "refund" me the log rolls and resell them to me.

I've ordered 4 but comes up at £20 no mention of the 3 for 2 offer. I'll check in store tomorrow.

I ordered 9 rolls on wednesday, they turned up today and i was only charged 13.89 inc delivery!
Many thanks to Ouzy for this one.

Also just checked and argos have corrected the error and only do the 3 for 2 instore!!!

Gutted, bought 4x (2 free) today, turns out they are (IMHO) rubbish because there's 1/2 inch gaps between each log - meaning my decorative flowerbed the website helpfully recommends I can make will leak onto the lawn. :rolleyes: I also read "Stitched together with galvanised wire and staples" to mean a whole lot more than held together with a couple of bits of wire, but I suppose it's an accurate description.

Beautiful garden plans back on the drawing board.... :beer:
