Register the product with the manufacturer. Should be fine, your 10 year warranty is with them anyway, not Comet.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
Any idea how i do that? There is normaly a card with it isnt there.0

This got me thinking ...
First I read this:All products purchased through Comet Clearance auction site come with a full 12 months warranty.
But then I found this:Can I have a refund on a product I've purchased from the Comet Clearance auction site?
If you are returning a faulty portable product, you should return it to your nearest Comet store, which will arrange for the product to be inspected free of charge. A Comet engineer must inspect large products. Please call 08705 425 425 and select option 3 to arrange this.
Please note: If the product develops a fault that we cannot repair, you will be given a refund of the purchase price. Due to the nature of products offered on the clearance site, exchanges are not available.
A free inspection and repair will be provided for all products that develop a fault, providing it has not been caused by accident, misuse or neglect, within the manufacturer's guarantee period. This does not affect your Statutory Rights.
Therefore I would say that you are covered by the manufacturers guarantee.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Thanks-that looks promising.0

You are covered by manufacturer. I checkwed with Miele before buying one of their washer dryers. I then bought it and registered it and sent in a copy of my receipt from Comet Clearance. All fine.0

They come with the usual full 12 months warranty.I bought a tumble dryer from their autions a few yrs ago. After a few weeks it started to making a loud grating noise, I cant remember if I rang comet or the manufacture, but whichever it was, they came out & fixed the problem promptly.0

Did you buy from the auction site?I have just read the online manufacturers guarantee and it say it excludes items bought at auction.0
