Theres also a free software download available called Genie texter so you dont have to take the pain of going to various sites to send sms. Have this installed and is very useful. Also has ability to text internationally.

if you use voipcheap.com you can ring for free in uk and send texts for 3 p or sometimeas are free of charge.

When you send a sms via these sites, is there an advert at the end or anything like that? And is it possible to set them up (like Skype texts) so that clicking reply sends it to your mobile?

'ToSMS' texting service costs £3 to receive the text so watch out for this.

I tried cbfsms.com and it worked fine - All it says at the end of the text is 'Free SMS at cbfsms.com'.
