Interest on ccj's

Hi, in 1988 I recieved a ccj for £2000 which I have been paying every month since. I have just been informed by my creditor that with interest I now owe them £13000.
I thought interest was not payable on ccj's.
Can I be made to pay this money?
regards
ray

Whether any interest can continue to be added after the judgement, your liability for it, and how much is a little complicated.
There is a factsheet that explains it all here:
