Proud of myself...

I wanted to earn some extra money to pay some debt off + some spending money for my husband and I's trip to US in May so I thought..Hmmm what can I do to earn some extra income....
So, I finally decided I would put a few adverts in the paper and a few flyers up around my area for house cleaning.
Well, it paid off. I got 3 cleaning jobs..Wed.Thurs and Friday I clean each home 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours and I get paid about £45-50 each house. £150 isn't bad for under 10 hrs of work huh?
It's also a good way to burn off some calories too because sometimes I'm sweatingggggggg running around doin' this and that :rotfl:

Anyways..I seriously think anyone looking to make some extra money...this is a good way of earning some extra cash.

Where do you live that you get paid £15 per hour for cleaning. Round here its minimum wage!!!

I shouldnt think there are that many people on £15 per hour on regular jobs so yes well done you - im impressed.

    Ill have to change area/career.

    Thanks Wendy :)

Ahhh well see I'm in Norway at the moment so employment of any kind is higher heh but oddly enough it seems people here like Brit's & Americans cleaning their house heh :D

Regardless though it's a good way of making money. Some areas pay well..like I can imagine some "upper class" folks can afford to pay higher wages. I atually knew someone a few yrs back who did that for some people in London and she said they paid more than say people in Ramsgate hehe.

well done nordic, is it true that the cost of living is really high in norway or is that just one of those myths? (after all, we live in rip-off britain, lol, how bad can norway be, lol)

    Thanks Rls...
Cost of living is higher than the UK for sure. That's why I try to get to the UK a few times year to stock up on things. If my hubby and I take the ferry over (to Newcastle) we load up the car from Tesco's or Asda. Where I could shop for say £100+ for a few weeks shopping will be double that here and UK's variety for everything is much greater than here too but don't get me wrong..it's a wonderful country over here :D aside from the shopping bit :P

  • Nice to see you take a trip over to Geordieland!

I used to have a relative in Norway who was a teacher, I went there when I was a young'un and it was very expensive, and I've heard it has only got worse.
