New Start your thoughts please

Hi all

As mentioned in my debt diary I am moving to north yorkshire soon, and we are renting out our house and moving into rented up there,

So i was wondering if anyone on here knows which are the cheapest suppliers in the area for:

Gas and electric, internet,phone, etc

I think as its kind of a new start for the next few years i could save quite a bit of money, I will be moving back in a few years so i will be able to take advantage of new customer deals again!

Any advice would be much welcome, I hope the cost of living is cheaper in north yorks than essex!!

Hi head, welcome to the best (if rainiest) part of the country.
I am with Atlantic electricity and gas, it cut my fuel bills and their customer service is excellent!

  • that sounds great, how do i get in touch with them,

that moneysupermarket site seems a bit rubbish to me as they don't include all companies and you don't get new customer offers

    Hi headinthesand,

I lived in Colchester many years ago, I used to go to the "wagon and horses" on North Hill and the Hipprodrome, gosh thats bringing back memories. I bought my first home on Meyrick Crescent, surrounded by the lovely army lads. (I and my OH are not in the army).

I would say in all honestly the cost of living isn't that much different up here, I currently live near York.

I would say check out Talk talk for your phone and broadband, they did have cr*p CS some months ago, but have improved. I am with London Energy, they are ok, but I am waiting to check comparisons once Martin says time to change.

I hope you enjoy up north, I love it.
