We've got Sky digital, the box is in the lounge and the link is upstairs. Last night the remote control upstairs wouldn't work to switch sky channels but worked for the volume. We assumed the connection was loose so hubby went downstairs to check. Before he touched anything the remote worked again, when he came back up it stopped working. We worked out that it worked OK when he stood in front of the skybox. So now we have to block the infrared thing on the box (I put a book in front of it ::)) for the remote to work upstairs.

What's going on there then?

Might be due to weak batteries or one of the RC buttons is stuck down.

Thanks. I checked these but it doesn't make a difference. I also swapped the remotes around and programmed them to work on different TVs (they both work fine) but still have the same problem. Weird.

I'll just have to remember to keep blocking it with a book when I watch TV upstairs ::) ;D
