I'm cooking a joint tomorrow and always have loads left. I've got loads of veggies in at minute so thought rather then the usually beef snadwiches etc I've do some extra veg and the freeze whats left for quickie meals.
I've not done this before so just wondered would you just plate up extra meals and then freeze the plates and if so what do you cover them with? Or would you freeze all bits seperatley?
Hope this makes sense, thanks

I freeze mine seperate because then if I want beef sandwiches it's there and the veg can go with something else later. I prefer a more flexible freezer. Plated meals you could cover with another plate then cling wrap or I would probably put it all in a micro tub then just back to the plate when needed. One day I might be more organised...........

I do that sometimes. Plate up the dinners as normal, wait for them to go cold then cover with foil and bung in the freezer.
Then I defrost them, cover with hot gravy to stop the meat drying out and microwave to reheat.

I work in different locations everyday, many late evenings and like to have a home cooked meal if possible. I'll often freeze a full dinner in a glass dish with a lid so I can take out that morning and just bung in the oven later on. Also handy for my DD (17) if I'm backshift.
