stoozing is dead ??????

egg money in the paper today saying they are going to close the accounts
of 165,000 people. will all the stoozers out there be affected ????
strange how after MARTIN told us all on TV( it pays to watch ) about stoozing
that the main card to do this with is closing the accouts of thousands
of customers who have over extended there limts.
this is not really MFW but many are using stoozing to clear there mortgage
quicker, WE will have to wait and see as the letters go out this week.

I doubt the stoozers will be affected, I heard the BBC report which said Egg made the decision to close the accounts of those people who didn't score particularly well in the initial credit scoring so it's only going to affect those people who have a poor track record (which might in fact be a blessing in disguise).
  • I think it would be interesting to see how many of these people claimed back their charges, either through credit cards or banks.

It's not egg money - it's egg visa that's affected, and there is already a thread on here by the people affected. it appears to be the people who don't make egg (visa) any money that are seeing their accounts closed.

there's no suggestion that egg money (mastercard) customers are affected.

and it's not as a result of the show - since citibank took over egg they've been reviewing their practices - they've been reviewing this for a year!
