16 Pancakes for £0.70p

Asda have Betty Crockers "Shake to Make" Pancake mixes at 2 for 1. On the lid is a coupon for 30p. If you carefully remove both the coupons at use it at the checkout against the 2 for 1 you get 16 pancakes for 40p.

  • Isnt that stealing the coupon before you've purchased the item?

Personally, I would only use it after I had purchased the item i.e go back to the store or remove it after buying it.

    Noooooooooooooooo!

Delete your post quick Holeypockets before the 'are you too stupid to make your own pancakes' brigade get you!

Offer was posted t'other day and got into a right old heated debate about how easy/hard it is to make your own, then it got moved into cyberspace somewhere!

Delete before they get you!!! :D

    They are coming!!!.....:rotfl:
  • Go on then enlighten me how much it would cost me to make my own
  • Actually it's 40p (because you use both coupons)

Haven't the foggiest idea - I'm with you on the easier time saving option! I usually go for the 8p batter mix TBH, but then that needs an egg or milk or summitt, so that bumps the price up! :D

Can make my own, but at that Betty Crockers price I couldn't be bothered! :D

Vote for Betty I say! :D

These are great too as you only have to add water to a marked line on the bottle put the lid back on and shake!! Very tasty too!

Always worth doing a search before posting a deal to minimise duplication.

yep it is easy to make your own pancakes - my kids are eating them every week but at 40p for a mix then why not go for it! It costs me 39p for white plain flour, 99p for wholemeal flour, far too much for free range eggs and milk, well they get through tonnes of that so I always have to have loads!! I make loads from that amount of flour mind you.

I am not one of the "why can't you make your own" brigade - if it is a bargain then flippin well post it for all, I say!!
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
