Tesco Refund?

I have just taken an internet phone back to Tesco and they refused to let me exchange it as I didn't have a receipt and the product was over £20 (product was £39.97)

Now where do I stand

without a recipt they do not have to offer a refund or exchange . however they generally tend to allow you to exchange the item for the current selling price however depends on who you got and the reason for returning , if its not faulty they can again refuse to exchange on the basis you do not have a reciept.
I would sugest you write to head office as you may get some gift vouchers to cover the cost of item as you were refused a refund and they tend to side with customer

Did you pay buy by cash or card ?- they should take a credit card statement as proof of purchase.

If it is the FF128 model these were onsale from Tesco Direct when they were mispriced at £2 each and later on advertised on the Deal of the Day at £10 for two. Lots of people have tried to return these to store for a full refund so perhaps Tesco have clicked on.

If you bought it at full price within the last 28 days and used your clubcard then I would contact Tesco customer services. Tesco returns T&C require you to return any unwanted item within 28 days with invoice/receipt.

    Hi

    No it's not that model
  • What's the point of posting if you don't tell us the full story? Bought when? Returned when? Reason for return? Unfortunately we're not mind readers and lack of info often leads to wrong assumptions.

You already know that from your visit to the store.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure
  • Also, unfortunately a credit card receipt does not prove the purchase of a certain product. The only thing it proves is the amount of money that was spent.
