Cabin Crew Pension Options

Hi everyone - I wonder if someone could help me with a huge problem.
I work for an International Long Haul Airline as a Flight Attendant. I work out of London but choose to live in Ireland and commute to and from work on a regular basis after each tour of duty.
I really want to set up a pension for my future but my airline does not offer this and when I tried joining the Scottish Widows I was told that I could not avail of one as I was not a UK Resident.
In Ireland I am not entitled to Tax Relief on a pension there.
So basically, what am I to do? I'm at a complete loss and yet I'm paying National Insurance etc.... and UK tax at a reduced rate due to my residency.
If anyone could help I would be so greatful as I really want to set up a pension somehow.
Sincere thanks
Calair

I assume from what you say that you will become UK resident from 6 April 2008 when the UK changes the rules on residence.
You should therefore qualify from April 2008 - as well as having to file UK tax returns!0
