Transfer of pension?

My wife in her previous employment was part of 'their' pension scheme through Standard Life. She no longer works for that compnay and works for the local authority in Newcastle and is part of their scheme, which looks quiet good.
She recently received a letter from Standard life giving details of how much her fund is worth etc.....can't remeber full amount, maybe a couple of thousand. Would she be better of transferring this into her new pension, or is there any monetary value in the Standard Life policy, could she have the money?
Thanks in advance

Would she be better of transferring this into her new pension,
Maybe. maybe not. It depends on which one pays the most benefits. You would need to find out the critical yield for the standard life plan to be better.or is there any monetary value in the Standard Life policy,
Yes. It has a daily value based on the value of the investments.could she have the money?
