Saturday 2/02/08 What small dfw thing hve you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will;
  • Check online banking
  • Do clicks
  • Eat from storeupboard/freezer
  • Try and have a no spend day
  • Sort through pressie box and find pressie and card for friends birthday
  • Not go out - its cold and snowing- will sort out new kitchen instead
  • Use up bits of veggies and some eggs in fridge- will prob do spanish omelettes for lunch or maybe a quiche
Have a good day everyone. Drive carefully if you are in a snowy area.

    Morning

    Well i will/have done:

    * Bought 2 birthday pressies for March online, using Quidco so hopefully will get cash back (and they were cheaper than in shops with free delivery!! )

    * Im walking into town, and will get a bus back (instead of a taxi/taking car!)

    * I am selling my old engagement ring (should get £50 at least for it!)

    Think thats it today.

Hopefully some more items will sell on ebay.

  • I'm doing some OT at home today.

Also when I go food shopping later I'm getting all Halal meat. Normally I get Halal for OH and normal for me and DS, But buying both gets so expensive, so I'll buy all Halal today, that way he can eat anything I make!!
