    All eaten with smiles and his hair needing washing afterwards
    I used a little bit of formula to make it quite runny and he woofed it down

    have a look at the baby led weaning web site, my duaghter in law
    has used this religiously since by 18th month grandaughter was born
    and has never bought a jar of baby food. Emma is the picture of health
    and has never had food fed to her by her parents from 6 months of age,
    it is interesting
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    my daughter had milk intolerance too. as others have suggested, I used a hand blender and added water to make the right consistancy. I tended to blend whatever we were having, with in reason...no chilli or curry :) Things like potato,veggies, fish, fruit...most things will blend down really well. She then kind of jumped to solid foods...never very keen on lumpy liquids if you know what I mean

    Pears are great for weaning because when they are stewed they mush down much better than apples
