Today I phoned VIRGIN MEDIA (free on Virgin phone dial 150) to complain about my broadband speed, as I am connected to next doors box, (I've heard this happens a lot), because they hadn't run the cable from the box at the end of the street to my house, so if my neighbour is using their connection, mine slows down to a crawl, so I remembered a "mail shot" I recieved in November 2007 advertising £4.50 broadband with phone line of £11.00, at the bottom of the letter it says "A friendly engineer will professionally install everything for you, for a one-off fee of £30. AND IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY, WE'RE NOT HAPPY, SO WE'LL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. So I reminded the the call centre of this, she said she had never heard of it, and put me on hold, a couple of minutes later she came back and said she would credit my account with £30. give it a go, you've got nothing to lose.

just ordered over phone 50Mbps service, broadband only and requested them to discount me by installation fee... after few minutes I get answered OK!!! So I do not have to pay standard installation fee of 35 GBP

Also if you are new customer and want to be discounted by 30 GBP, please quote this number:
