Start my new job on Monday-----getting nervous!!

As some of you might remember I got offered a part time job at a local clothes shop
I havent worked for several years(I was a SAHM for years) and we have just moved house.I decided that at 43 and with hopefully many working years left I needed to find something for me----obviously i need the money but also for my sanity as OH works very long hours and both my kids have left home after finishing Uni.I got offered the job about 3 weeks ago(which seemed like ages then) and i start at 10am on Monday.I am soooooo nervous!! I havent worked in a shop since i was 17 and i havent actually worked for about 8 years!!!!!!!I have had a "trial run" on the local bus so that if the weather is bad i can catch that---if not i will walk---it takes about 25 minutes.I just wondered if anyone else felt like this when they returned to work?? I have only got an 8 hour contract but they have said i will get more hours each week(though i am happy with 8 for now LOL!!!!!)Thanks for any replies xx

 Hi Gilly,
You'll be fine
ummmm I say that but I'm in a similar position myself and keep telling myself I will be ok lol
I'm 43 and havent worked in an office for 21 years  but I'm starting a new full time job on monday too.
I have had a few part timers over the years, in supermarkets, cleaning, childminding etc but nothing like the job i'm going to start so i'm feeling really apprehensive too.
I think if we both concentrate on sending good vibes to each other on Monday we'll be less worried about ourselves
Good luck!!!0 -
Good luck to you candy too
