Today was a mixed one, had to tak eanother day off work so thats £70 i have lost this week, it goes towards my monthly total when i get paid on friday too

Went shopping and spent £147 to stck up the freezer and the cupboard, (actually £50 was cashback to pay the childminder and electric meter)

I work till 5 and hubby leaves to work nights at 5.30, not great i know but the only thing we could think of to reduce our childminding costs, this leaves an evening meal together 4 nights a week impossible, we both end up spending money at work on food, he bakes it (pasties) and i sell food where i work so its quite tempting!

Today i bought a large loaf of bread and a big bag of sausages, this will save me £2 a day on a sandwich at work, have been good and frozen 2 slices and 2 sausages in bags, hehe

I have also cooked up a load of meals and frozen them in tin foil containers, this way we can both eat and not have to spend out at work, i can even take mine there to cook it if i feel the need!

Bought all the BOGOFs and the deals and actually ended up saving almost £18 on the bill that way too! was shocked at the total but when i look at it rationally it will save us goin out and buying bits and pieces for a while, means we wont be tempted by other things as well

 did get a deal on 6 bottles of wine for £20 as well, doubt that will last long tho as we never go out anymore!

Have earned about £15 txting and just over £1 from quidco and onepoll today as well! well thats me for today, will update my sig when i know i wont be doin anymore for this evening

Today I did all the usual things like the clicks (Pigsback stinks atm), no heating & store cupboard meals.

I tried to do a VoP survey but was rejected 30% through - no surprise there with VoP!

Cleaned the kitchen - well it kept me warm.

Have the washing on now, so can dry overnight on the cooling radiators.

OH went to Mr T's with a short list, and came back with 3 till spits worth 145 points in total, for things we can use, so will add £5.80 in deals to our total next week - will be used for a holiday next year I hope.

Counted the 'found money' box = £2 in January! Hope February will be as profitable!

Dfw things for today ;) :

    Found £2.20.

Returned item I didn’t really need £1.25 refund.

    Topshop

Returned 1 x waistcoat £15 as there were plenty on the rails and now the bogof sale is on, so brought the same waistcoat and another one (unfortunately they didn’t have another one I liked/in my size at £15 so picked up one at £25). Total paid £25 for 2 waistcoats.

collected my free sample of lipstick pallet from bobbi brown counter.

    charged mobile at work.

    collected a bounty pack.

Will do piggy clicks if I have time.

Boots – collected photos for sister – used vouchers and put in another 6 photos to be developed (to be paid for in vouchers of course).

Got a bid for an ebay item.

that's all i can think of at the moment.
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)

  • Since posting earlier, I used the coupon from the paper I got free from work for an Only Fools and Horses double bill on DVD. Got 4 or 5 books from the libary (in particular, one I considered buying but thought 'no, I'll wait and see') and put 60p of small change into my massive piggybank.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

  • Aargh! Just lost my post! Is anyone else finding this site reaaallllly slow at times tonight, or is it just me:confused:
    Today I have:
    • washed three loads of washing and am drying them over radiators, airers, bannisters and chairbacks - looks like they'll be dry by morning
    • ate leftover dinner from last night for lunch today
    • had storecupboard dinner tonight as per mealplan, and stretched it to feed ds's friend too
    • didn't go shopping - that would have involved a long drive over mountain roads in frozen hail - not too DFW if I wreck my car!
That's about it. Safe driving for all who are travelling over the weekend. Hope everyone had a good day!
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
