Oh aren't you a cheerful soul?
I don't think you're being very helpful by posting that. you DO NOT know 'for sure'.

You need to get an accountant you can't sort this your self they will slaughter you. Before you engage this accountant check to see if you can take out a policy to cover his fees in the event of any investigation(you will surely get one and maybe VAT inspection too)because they will run into thousands probably tens of thousands(I pay my accountant about a thousand pounds a year and thats without investigations going on).
Ignore the above I know of several people who got caught up with by IR after such years of not paying tax and no such thing happened.
But be prepared for a bumpy ride and a fcuking great bill.
Don't do anything until you have spoken to an accountant , and as has been said by someone else someone big enough to be able to put some manpower and clout into this. I repeat you cannot sort this out on your own.

Good luck and respect for fessing up you are a brave man

You won't get insurance for professional fees. Policies have an exception clause where tax returns are submitted late and/or where there has been dishonesty/deception etc. Tax investigation insurance is only for those who have submitted returns on time and are generally honest with what they have declared. You'd end up paying the premium, but then they wouldn't pay out when you tried to claim.
  • Just wondering if you've any update yet, Holder?
