Internet won't connect after running spybot s&d

My laptop was running sluggish, pop ups appearing etc so I scanned with norton and then ad-aware and finally spybot s&d, after doing all that my internet connection just went completely dead. I can get online on this PC and my 360 is also fine so it's the laptop that has an issue.
I connect via wireless to my laptop via an Intel Proset/Wireless 3945ABG, when I log on the laptop connects and then the Intel proset/wireless software that deals with my connection comes up and in the box it sais "problem". When I click details it sais connected, signal strength Excellent etc so I can't see any issues.
There is however another sign of the problem, the internet connection icon in my taskbar has an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle saying limited or no connectivity. It sais the the network did not assign a network address to the computer and when I click details it comes up with some info of which the default gateway, dns server and wins server have no numbers next to them.
I also tried clicking the repair button and it said it couldn't do it as it could not disable the wireless adapter and sais at the bottom - male sure your network adapter is properly installed.
I don't suppose anyone would have the foggies idea what in the name of davey crocket's going on?
Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated, I can normally google fixes to most issues for myself but I'm totally stumped with this.
Cheers

have you rebooted the puter yet?Get some gorm.0

If the computer's definitely clean, it might be worth disabling TeaTimer temporarily (I think it's one of the "advanced" options in Spybot and can sometimes prevent you from changing various Windows settings if I remember rightly) and then checking or re-applying your network settings.
If that doesn't help, I'd try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your wireless adapter0 -
You may need to run lspfix.exe.
See here http://www.webuser.co.uk/forums/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/108655/page//vc/1
Some spyware packages install extra layers within the tcp/ip protocol. When the likes of Spybot remove the 'nasty', it leaves the tcp/ip with 'bits missing'.
Running this program repairs it.

Hi again, tried lspfix but no joy, although the file the guy in hoofehearted's link is referring to, lspak.dll wasn't there at all, not sure if that's normal? I also completely removed spybot before I tried lspfix but the same things happening. I have no idea about where I would get the drivers for the wireless adapter or how to reinstall them, any pointers? The make/models Intel Proset/Wireless 3945ABG.0

Hi All,
I'm not sure if this would work, but it might be worth a go.
If in XP or Vista, can you "rollback" to some time when the internet connection was working fine?
I'm not sure if this would work but if anyone really techie knows I'd like to know as well, even though this has never happened to me, its always good to know in case!
Cheers

I've tried system restore as well, every time it seems to fail for some reason so it's not an option I'm afraid.
To get to this option you hit start > all programs > accessories > system restore and simply pick the date you want to restore to.0 -
I would uninstall the adapter, reboot, let Windows find it and reinstall it.
Then reconnect to the router "from new" as it wereWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
I've had something similar happen with Spybot quite some time ago. The Spybot program usually backs up whatever it's about to remove (unless you disabled that for some strange reason?), and I found that restoring the backup put back the required file for the internet connection.
In the Spybot menus there is an option to restore the backup it made before removing the selected entries. Hope this helps? You may have to undo any system restores you did after you found this problem, before putting the Spybot restore into action.
I still use the program, but I'm a little more careful about what I allow it to remove now.(no registry entries, unless I know for certain that they're from uninstalled items).0
