Remortgaging when one person is effected by Trust Deed

Options
I entered into a Trust Deed (IVA in England) which will expire in April, and so far things have been reasonably ok. I stress this TD is in my name only. We've done everything possible to keep financially dis-associated, so that we haven't had to lose the house. However tonight we had a bombshell to deal with. Due to the fact our mortgage will increase by almost £600 in a couple of months we decided to look at changing provider. My wife pays the mortgage, even though it is in both our names. She has been told that remortgaging (and putting the mortgage in her sole name) means having to take my name off the deeds of the property. Is this correct?

Unfortunately her mortgage application was declined as a result of our association (in other words my name on her file!) and we're stressing!

We have just joined up with Equifax online and that could be the only apparent problem. We wrote to them last year asking for our financial associations to be cut, but this seems to have been ignored.

Any sound advice very much appreciated.
