Saw the sa marking down the FCUK yesterday as the store was closing, she said she thinks they will be putting the prices back up later next month in time for Xmas!!
  • Didn't have much time for a mooch but saw in Chester Foregate Street store earlier:

Gary Rhodes Jewel Loaf and Mulled Wine Mix Sets £1
    Brush Your Teeth Barney £8.32
Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.

    For all mums out there:
the heinz simply organic pots are on at 3 for 2 although not marked as this in most stores (these are the roundish flat ones that tend to be on a rack on the shelf rather than stacked on shelves). Plus boots soft wipes are BOGOF and Huggies Nappies 2 for £16 with 200 points EACH pack.

    My shop:
    6 packs of soft wipes = £6 (worth £12)
    18 simply organic pots = £9.48 (worth 14.22)
    Total spend = £15.48)
Points = 500 (boots calculate over £25 on baby before offers taken off) plus 60 or so for the normal shopping value
So effectively £26 of stuff for £10 or so

    Shop 2:
    2 x Huggies packs = £16 (worth 17.92)
    6 soft wipes = £6 (worth £12)
    Total spend = £22
Points = 200 x 2 for each Huggies pack, 500 for over £25 spend and 33 points for the shop = total of 933
So, £28 worth of stuff for £12.67
  • Hi

I did the same as you with the nappies, but didn't really need them so took them back to Asda, who without a recipt put the money on a giftcard, as I spend money in there anyway, so nearly got the points for nothing, cheating I know, but you have to do it.

Sooz - now thats what I call a good afternoons work! As the OH says "think how many hours you would have to work to get that." when ever I get a freebie bargain - he's right cos we all pay tax on our earnings ie earn £15 to get £12 in our hands!

Strange with all I have got in recent months - I'm still not in a position to give up work or even cut down on my hours and I never seem to have any extra in my purse!
