B&Q Clear Out Bargain Buys

Hi there while on my travels of UK in car i stopped off at B&Q Derby for some items for my house, only to find this store closes in one weeks time as they are opening new one in Derby. Anyway to cut long story short there was huge clearance on their items in store and although busy in there i found loads of bargains. I found out from a member of staff there was another store closing in Derby too so i went to that B&Q also. In there a kind member of staff gave me a list of all their closure / relocation and Revamp stores where stock is being marked down.
I have driven to a few via work this week and here are some listed
B&Q Derby -two stores closing due to new one opening- lots of bargains
B&Q Stockton on Tees- Store being revamped huge clearance to get rid of old ranges
B&Q Speke- As Above Revamp
B&Q Wallasey- As Above Revamp
B&Q Chester- As Above Revamp
B&Q Norwich- As Above Revamp
B&Q Halesowen- As Above Revamp
B&Q Halifax- This store is closing to make way for a New Store opening

Anyway thanks for reading thought it may save others on DIY Bargain Trail

Was this the Ascot Drive store and which is the other store that is closing?

Was Ascot Drive and Kingsway Stores Clsoing Next week i think , sign outside Kingsway said the New Store opens 7th or 8th February

Just checked my sat nav , both stores are closing but the one i got the most bargains in was Derby Kingsway store..

Just got back from both stores, I don`t think Ascot Drive store will last till Wednesday they were busy emptying the wallpaper section when we were in and most of the other stuff was already gone.
Will definetely be trying Kingsway store nearer to closing date

Well looks like loads of other bargain hunters been in there and stripped the shelves, luckily with my job i travel whole of country, and as member of staff gave me the list of all stores which are closing due to relocation at least i can then pop into those stores, should help me sort my house on a budget at least

I work at the new B&Q at Osmaston Park and can confirm that both Kingsway and Ascot are closing on Weds 6th, with the new one opening on 7th Feb at 10am.

It's having a coffee shop inside too which is a new thing for Derby B&Q's and overall the store (although not ready yet!) looks fab! Massive it is as well.

I remember Texas DIY shop having a cafe when I was a kid (and texas still existed). I must have seemed strange begging to go to a diy shop for the cake!

Blimey, Texas DIY! That takes me back! Bought a pine table from there about 15 years ago and only freecycled it a couple of months ago - must have been good stuff!
