Word of warning about wind-propelled wheelie bins....I've got a dint in the front wing of my car where it got attacked by my empty wheelie bin several years ago in a wind storm!

Sorry to hear everybody's a bit iffy today..... i'm quite chirpy coz have just had my contract extended at work for another 14m :D Have to say though, it took about 25 applications to get this post...application & shortlist pools up here are a lot larger than in the leafy Cheshire suburbs where I used to live as there are fewer jobs & more people after them.

Just a tip - most Councils' jobs come out on Thursdays.....

Nothing in the Yorkshire Post either.

Day going very slowly...not finishing til 6 and already eaten my biscuit stash!

Already trying to decide what to do tonight...and not to mention for the rest of the day. think I might go and do some training after lunch then have a shower just before home time to save on my hot water for tonight and also think I'm going to a public forum so want to be ready.

Oh I remember need to keep loking for jobs and get applying for some...just going to check on mystery shops though:shhh:

bloody hell............got blown around the park with the dog. Decided to pop to Somerfield and the heavens opened on the way. Really torrential, I nearly pulled over. Got out of the car in the car park and my shoes flooded with the water - yuck. to top it all, Somerfield had completely sold out of chicken breasts which I wanted. Squelched back into the car, drove down the road and hit a flooded bit at 30.......... whoops.........very dramatic and a bot scary!!!

Anyway, got the chicken (plus a few other bits - whoops) and got home - what was waiting for me?? A letter asking if I wanted life cover - the Over 50 plan..........I'm 37 for god's sake!!!!!!
