Stained White Shirt!

Hi,
I have a white shirt with a stain (unsure what stain is...gravy/wine???)
The stain has been left and is dried in. Have tried loads of cleansing stuff directly on stain (eg Vanish) but the stain won't go.
Please help as i LOVE the shirt :-)

I would be tempted to try rubbing the stained area gently with a bar of soap and cold water. Then put the shirt in a bucket to soak in Persil washing powder for 2 hours at hand hot temp, with occasional stirring/agitating.
Examine the shirt after the 2 hours is up, rinse under a cold tap. If the stain has gone (or almost gone) put the shirt in the washing machine at a 60deg wash with Persil automatic powder.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -
had this problem myself today only it was dried in tomato soup. Vanish didn't seem to work much, tried vinegar (tip found here - where else?) seemed to work better and basically vinegar then washed, vinegar & back in wash with another load etc. until after a few goes the stain was far far fainter but still there, put it on the line & somehow I have just ironed a dry but perfectly white t-shirt!0
