Do the internet coupons get queried less if they are printed out in colour? I just wondered if the Tesco staff just think they are photocopies if they are in black and white? Or is it just luck of the draw ie more store specific?

I only have a mono printer at home, the few times I have been questioned I have explained this. The only time a supervisor refused, was for a Coke voucher a few days ago, so I asked to speak to the store manager as I had bought the item.
She came back 5 minutes later, said sorry and put the transaction through. I did ask if Tesco would care to donate me a nice colour printer, so I could print any more off in pretty colours for them... she said no :rotfl:

  • no, i always print them out in colour. they turn them over to see if there's a date or something on the back and see it's plain paper and say they can't take them.
  • A middle aged lady refused all of my higher value coupons yesterday. I realised after she'd scanned all the 20p and 30p ones and ignored the £2.49 ones when I'd bought the coke.

I enquired at CS who refunded me and gave me a photocopy of the coupon policy so I can be better 'armed' with the facts if this happens again.

I went again today and young lad scrutinised every one and took them all except book token. He also asked where he could get coupons from lol.
could you somehow put the coupon policy on this site so we may all read it Iwould like to knowwhat the policy really says please oblige lol:A

Mine are never plain paper on the back as I multiprint to save paper.

In the case of Couponnet coupons, I print the first batch out, making a mental note if any of the sheets print with the coupon at the top as I have to treat them separately(most have the coupon at the bottom).

Once I have my first batch I then put the paper back in (in my printer this has to be face-up as it then prints any new stuff on the underside as the paper pulls through). I also make sure that the paper is presented with the coupon-end feeding back in first, so that the second batch doesn't end up with the 2 coupons printed on the back of each other - useless! I have done this once by mistake but not any more.

My coupons then have a piccy and a bit of writing (the bit that comes from the top of the page) on the back. Sometimes it's the wrong product if I don't put the paper in the right order, but that doesn't matter, it's better than a blank back.

But be warned - experiment first with your own printer, when printing something else that's not restricted to just 2 coupons, mark with a pen the top of the page when it feeds in and see which way it then comes out IYSWIM.

Don't experiment with Couponnet ones until you are sure which way to represent the paper, but once you do know it's easy.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
