Hello,
My mum's got tons of old Home & Freezer magazines dating from the early 70s. Can I put them out for the council paper recycling or will they be too old because they feel a bit waxy. Thanks

I think I remember reading in Lorne Spicer's (the presenter of 'Cash in the Attic' and the one about Car Boot sales) book 'Find a Fortune' that you could cut up old magazines for interesting adverts and sell them on ebay. People love the 70's! Are there some funny fashion pictures or the like...? (Actually, maybe pictures of old freezers haven't got that much appeal... :rotfl: ) I think you have to frame them as well to make them look better. I haven't tried the idea myself yet - I've got some Weekend magazines from the 70's and some of the 'news' articles are hilarious! I haven't researched the idea on ebay yet so I don't know how good the idea is and I don't know how you would stand on copyright issues... but HTH.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0

I'd bet someone from Freecycle would have them. You can give away most anything on there!Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0
